Wireshark is a free packet analyzer industrial by the team of Wireshark running on various platforms, including Windows, Linux, and Mac.
Wireshark analyzes the structure of different network protocols that allows the software to display encapsulation and fields along with the meaning of different packets specified by the different network protocol. Capture live network connection and reads packets captured and recorded. It also reads and writes captured several file formats including TCP dump (tip cap), Catapult, DCT2000, Cisco Secure IDS log, Microsoft Network Monitor and a lot of others.
